Bereavement may have an impact on other areas of your life, which may be better dealt with by another more appropriate source of support. We have listed various partner organisations in our links to other services page to help you decide.
Following referral to us an assessment is done by telephone to gather information, which will help us to allocate individuals to the appropriate volunteer counsellor, and give you the opportunity to ask any questions.
The whole procedure should take no longer than 1 month

Diversity
BBS is here to help everyone. We think diversity matters and we value it. To put this value into practice means:
Vibrancy & innovation
Brent Bereavement Services has been leading the way in developments for bereaved individuals and groups since 1987. We aim to continue. This value means:
Commitment & integrity
It’s vital that the people we help trust us. This value is about protecting that trust. For those of us who work for BBS, this means:
Quality & continuous improvement
Sitting back on our laurels didn’t make our charity what it is today. We aim to be ambitious and do the very best we can. This means we will:
If you think we’re not putting our values into practice, we’d like to know.
